Band

Band Days at the Confed Centre on Tuesday March 5th.  Dress is black pants with band shirt.  Practice is Monday at lunch and all are expected to be there.

Some of you still have outstanding tests.  You know who you are so get into the band room and get them done before the work piles up to the point of being overwhelming!! 

Play-A-Thon will be discussed in calss in the very near future and we will be having a grade 12 band meeting to discuss the future of the Halifax Music Festival very shortly.  This needs to be done so we know where we stand on fundraising and participation in the event.  It will determine whether we attend or don’t attend.  My thanks to Chelcie Buell for all the organization for this event.

Band Hooodies should be along in the near future so keep your ears open for the announcements to this effect.  My thanks to Stephanie White for all her hard work with regards to this.

Music 801

Hello to all in the music 801 class.  So far so good this year .  Collage #1 and journal along with music analysis and first test done and out of the way.  Next assignment will be the group project discussed in class ( remember it is based on an area in the 1950’s).  We will discuss this further in class and set up time in the computer lab to deal with some of the research.  some assignments are still owed and are as follows:

Alex – Triads sheet still due

Michael – Test #1 needs to be completed

Brittany – listening example needs to be done in class on Monday.

So far we have completed material to the beginnings of Elvis and will continue from that point on Monday March 4th.  We will be having another class test within the next ten  days to two weeks and it will cover all material from the last test to date.  Hope you all enjoyed the weekend and are looking forward to the school week ahead.
